Task 6: Storyboard
- The purpose of a storyboard is to photograph (draw/digitalise) each and every shot of a film with at list of key information written underneath it.
- Storyboards allow the director to visualise the whole film before filming and also allows the camera person to understand how the film is to be shot.
- They also allow you to change elements if they don't work visually before the experience film making process.
- Shot number - can be followed in the intended sequence
- Framing - is the shot a close up, medium shot or long shot
- Drawing - a drawing visualisation of what is happening in the shot
- Action - a brief description of what is happening in the shot
- Dialogue - single lines may be written
- Sound effects - should there be any specific sounds, diegetic or non-diegetic.
- H/A - High angle
- L/A - Low angle
- POV - Point of view
- 2 shot - Two people in a shot
- OTS - Over the shoulder
- Track/dolly - Move the camera on wheeled platform
- Crab - Sideways move
- Pull focus - change what is focused on

Results
The majority of participants were students, which is convenient as my target audience is students, aged 16-20.
1) The answers are split, showing the different tastes of students how every 40% said that Rock music was their favourite.
2) The participants were generally spilt on this question. 40% said that they watch music videos on both the music channel and the internet. However, 60% said they used just one format, such as the internet, music channel and the mobile phone. So the participants prefer to watch a music video stationary then on the move (mobile phone).
3) MTV is the most popular choice of music channel, chosen from the 6 that watch music videos on the TV.
4) The majority of participants chose a music video that contains a performance from the band and a narrative.
5) The participants that chose narrative and performance because it helps the audience to relate/understand the lyrics of the song.
6) 7/10 said that they like the usage of special effects.
7) 7/10 prefers a linear story line, from the beginning to end.
8) All participants liked the use of archive footage, mostly because it makes the music video look better. Also because it add a sense of realism, adds meaning and variety in comparison to other music videos.
9) The most popular answers were that effects makes a music video look better but also that, a good story line is vital. Other answers included: a good performance, archive footage, a meaning behind the music video and a great use of surroundings.
10) 60% of the participants said that they preferred a positive narrative, however just under half said they preferred a negative narrative.

Task 3: Mind Mapping Of Initial Ideas
- Performance and narrative
- Target audience - Feel good song lovers,
- Performing in a club, on a stage in the middle of the room
- People in the club in 90's outfits, going through a door in the left and back through time. Each time they change costume, to blend in with the crowds. Until eventually they run back to the present day.
- Setting - clubs/discos

- Target audience - dance music lovers
- A group of child dancers, dance their way to the Walsall arboretum. On their way they dance though an old house (the inside is unseen) and on the other side they come out as teenagers. Symbolising a journey.
- Setting - Walsall Town centre and the Walsall arboretum

- Narrative and performance
- Target audience teenagers, rock fans, romance music lovers
- Storyline - A girl is scared about dating because of her parents mistakes, she realises that she's in love. At the end of the song she walks up the isle and looks into her fiancée's eyes, then the little girl runs to her father to pull him away from "crying and cursing at the wind".
- Setting - beach (when the persona is a little girl), arboretum (for the main person to run to the wedding) and a hotel for the wedding.
- Arboretum - On the grass, with trees as a background
